Recurring Themes

It seems to be that most of the lectures so far have said the following:

  • 'Development' in India really means that the middle class does whatever they want to improve convenience for them with no regard for the poor or rural communities.
  • The government is corrupt and is unlikely to change without major re-structuring of power
  • Decentralised governance is the answer to most of the problems that are being faced, if only central government actually cared.
This I find a bit depressing.
